RE: Fabtech Steering Component Recall Notice
Parts - FTS71000 Steering System and FTS71001 Idler Arm / Pitman Arm System
Vehicle/s affected- 2001-2005 GM C2500HD, K1500HD, K2500, K2500HD, Hummer H2

Dear Fabtech Consumer,

Please note that Fabtech has initiated a voluntary recall program to detect the installation of the above listed steering components and to replace these components at no cost to the end consumer.  It is critical to the safety of the end consumer that you contact Fabtech directly to schedule this process as soon as possible.

At this time Fabtech will provide factory replacement steering components to replace the installed Fabtech Pitman and Idler Arms.  Fabtech has established selected Authorized Installers to process your vehicle. Reimbursement for labor, alignment and original part cost will be provided to the Authorized Installer and end consumer upon the return of the original Fabtech Pitman and Idler Arm assemblies to Fabtech. 

Fabtech has implemented this steering component replacement program for the safety of the consumer even though there have been no reported vehicular incidents, claims or lawsuits resulting from the Fabtech part numbers FTS71000 and FTS71001 installation.  In the effort to sustain consumer safety Fabtech requires all vehicles with FTS71000 and FTS71001 be retrofitted to eliminate the potential of vehicle steering loss resulting in an accident causing injury or death.
